Higher Ground
Brand System & Identity
Architecting the Visual Language
The goal for Higher Ground was to establish a brutalist, minimalist identity that resonated with the streetwear market. I developed a comprehensive design system in Figma, ensuring visual consistency across all touchpoints. This extended beyond digital screens—I took full ownership of the physical branding, designing custom hangtags and defining the exact material specifications to guarantee the brand’s premium feel upon delivery.
E-commerce & Technical Setup
Building a Frictionless Digital Storefront
A strong brand needs a robust transactional engine. I engineered a scalable D2C e-commerce platform focused on conversion and performance (WPO).
By implementing a global component system in WordPress, I eliminated technical debt and ensured that the user journey—from product discovery to checkout—was completely frictionless and responsive.
Operations & Physical Production
Bridging the Gap: In-House Production & QA
True product leadership means governing the execution, not just the software. To ensure maximum margin and quality control, I designed and deployed an in-house physical production workflow.
I acquired and configured Direct-to-Film (DTF) heat press equipment and optimized the workspace by custom-engineering a production station from an IKEA Sniglar table. After evaluating multiple textile suppliers, I selected Roly garments for their optimal print compatibility.
This end-to-end approach allowed me to establish strict Quality Assurance (QA) protocols, ensuring that the physical product matched the digital promise pixel for pixel.
The Handoff & Launch
Zero-to-Launch Execution
Higher Ground launched as a fully operational, integrated business. By managing both the digital architecture and the physical production logistics, I eliminated the operational friction usually found in traditional design-to-development handoffs, delivering a market-ready D2C brand.
